About the Job

To provide on-site assistance on each Assurance assignment efficiently and effectively, ensuring clients receive a quality service in all aspects.

Responsibilities
  • Be a key part of Assurance teams undertaking assignments, including opportunities to lead the on-site element of the work.
  • Ensure each assignment is undertaken in accordance with pre-assignment instructions, and to carry out all aspects of the assignment thoroughly and in line with the firm’s procedures.
  • Maintain Assurance quality at all times, contribute to internal and external quality assurance, and ensure all actions comply with standards.
  • Communicate any problems or contentious issues to the assignment manager immediately, proposing solutions.
  • Provide briefing, supervision, and training for less experienced staff.
  • Act as day-to-day contact for the client, practicing excellent client service.
  • Maintain awareness of the firm’s services and publications, ensuring added value for clients.
  • Review work by less experienced staff for adequacy and completeness, and undertake job appraisals.
  • Summarize time spent versus budget, and perform review and completion procedures before passing files for manager review.
  • Develop technical knowledge through reading and courses, fulfilling CPD requirements.
  • Attend staff meetings, training, and assist in recruitment, training, and marketing activities.
  • Perform other duties within the scope of the role as required.
Requirements
  • Candidates must be ACA or ACCA qualified or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in Assurance tasks within a professional services firm.
  • Proven client handling experience and producing high-quality Assurance work.
  • Experience with analytical review approach is desirable.
