Job summary

TPF Recruitment are supporting a highly regarded firm of Chartered Accountants with offices across the South East, recruiting an Audit Assistant or Audit Semi-Senior to join their growing team. Qualifications

• Previous external audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience with UK limited company audits.
• Studying ACA or ACCA, or qualified by experience.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Organised and detail-oriented with ability to meet deadlines.
• Experience using Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, or KashFlow.
• Proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with statutory audits for limited companies across sectors.
• Prepare statutory accounts and working papers.
• Carry out substantive testing and analytical reviews.
• Support the completion of corporation tax computations.
• Liaise with clients to gather information and resolve queries professionally.
• Work closely with senior team members to deliver assignments efficiently and accurately.
• Build knowledge of accounting standards, audit regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Contribute positively to the wider team and support junior team members where appropriate.
