Qualifications

• AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Experience in a similar role within accountancy practice.
• Interest in developing a career in audit and accounts.
• Strong communication and client relationship skills.
• Proactive, learn-on-the-job attitude; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with annual audit assignments for a varied portfolio of clients.
• Supporting the wider team with audit fieldwork and ensuring assignments are completed to a high standard.
• Preparing accounts for a variety of businesses, broadening your experience across different clients and sectors.
• Building positive relationships with clients and providing support with their accounting requirements.
• Working closely with colleagues and senior team members to develop your technical knowledge and understanding of audit processes.
• Supporting junior colleagues by sharing knowledge and helping with day to day queries where appropriate.
• Managing your workload effectively, maintaining clear communication and ensuring deadlines are met.

The ideal Audit Assistant will have:

• AAT qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a similar role within an accountancy practice.
