Job summary

Service Care Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Top 50 UK Accountancy Practice for an Audit and Accounts Senior role in Halifax, offering hybrid working. You will support junior staff while managing your own workload and liaising with clients and partners.

You will prepare financial statements for various client types, assist with audits, complete VAT and tax schedules, and ensure deadlines are met with high accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Experience of working within an accountancy practice.
• Full right to work in the UK.
• Local to Halifax.
• ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified.
• Experience of working with Xero (desirable).
• Strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities, and preparing independent examinations for charity clients.
• Acting as a first point of contact for resolving issues or queries for clients.
• Assisting managers with client audits.
• Producing year end accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies in accordance with the relevant accounting standards.
• Assisting with the review of work by junior staff.
• Completion of VAT returns.
• Preparation of schedules for tax returns, ensuring all deadlines are met.
• Other ad hoc duties as required.

Job Title: Audit and Accounts Senior; Location: Halifax (Hybrid); Salary: £30,000 - £40,000. Service Care Solutions are delighted to be working with a Top 50 UK Accountancy Practice who are looking for an Audit and Accounts Senior to join their team. As Audit and Accounts Senior you will help support junior members of the team whilst also working closely with clients and partners, managing your own workload. • Preparing financial statements for limited companies, sole traders, partnerships and charities, as well as preparing independent examinations for charity clients
