Job summary

Christopher Brian Recruitment Limited in Guildford is assisting a well-regarded accountancy practice to recruit an Audit & Accounts Senior. This mixed role offers exposure to both audit and accounts work within a supportive team and a flexible hybrid setup.

You will lead on audit assignments, prepare year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102, 102 1A and 105, assist with corporation tax and VAT returns, and help with management accounts. A clear progression path and studying support are on offer.

Qualifications

• Must have previous UK accountancy practice experience.
• Exposure to both audit and accounts is expected.
• Good communication and attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

The Role:

This is a mixed role covering both audit and accounts, giving you great all-round exposure and the chance to build your experience quickly.

• Assisting on audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102, 102 1A, and 105
• Preparing corporation tax returns and VAT returns
• Supporting with management accounts and bookkeeping where needed
• Liaising with clients and helping to build strong relationships
• Working closely with seniors and managers across a range of assignments

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience in a UK accountancy practice
• Some exposure to audit and accounts
• ACA/ACCA studying, AAT qualified, or keen to continue developing
• Good communication skills and strong attention to detail
• A positive, team-focused attitude

• Monday to Friday

We work on a variety of roles across Surrey, Hampshire, Berkshire, and nearby areas.
