Job summary

Page Personnel in Coventry, England, is seeking an Audit and Accounts Manager to oversee a diverse client portfolio including owner-managed businesses and charities. You will deliver high-quality accounting and tax services, acting as the primary client contact and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role requires ACA/ACCA with 4–5 years PQE, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff while driving profitability and timely delivery. Flexible working arrangements are offered.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with 4–5 years' PQE.
• Experience managing client portfolios in an accountancy practice.
• Strong knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, charities and other clients.
• Act as primary contact for clients and provide proactive support.
• Review statutory accounts prepared under UK frameworks.
• Manage corporation and personal tax returns.
• Plan, manage and review audit assignments (where applicable).
• Monitor portfolio profitability, WIP and billing.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and on time.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities for value-added services.
• Maintain high technical and professional standards.

Job Description

• Manage a portfolio of owner-managed businesses, companies, charities and other clients.
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing proactive support and advice.
• Review statutory accounts prepared under relevant UK accounting frameworks.
• Manage and review corporation tax returns and personal tax returns.
• Plan, manage and review audit assignments (where applicable).
• Monitor portfolio profitability, work-in-progress and billing.
• Ensure assignments are completed accurately and within agreed deadlines.
• Supervise, mentor and develop junior team members.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional value-added services to clients.
• Maintain high technical and professional standards in line with regulatory requirements.

The Successful Applicant

• ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent).
• Approximately 4-5 years' post-qualification experience.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients within an accountancy practice.
• Strong technical knowledge of UK accounts and tax compliance.
• Excellent communication and client relationship skills.
• Strong organisational and time management abilities.
• Previous responsibility for portfolio management and fee recovery.
