Audit and Accounts Senior – Exeter office

Audit & Accounts Senior – AAT qualified or studying ACA/ACCA

Griffin Chartered Accountants are looking for a well-organised individual to join the firm’s audit and accounts department. You will be part of a growing team based in our Exeter office. The successful candidate will have 2-4 years experience of working in practice to enable them to hit the ground running. Audit experience preferable, but not essential. We are looking for someone AAT qualified or studying towards the ACA/ACCA.

The role will be varied, involving a mix of accounts preparation, audit, corporate and personal tax.

Support would be provided for further studies towards the ACA or ACCA qualifications. This includes paid time off to attend college during the working day and college fees would be paid in full by the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Compilation of accounts for limited companies
  • Preparation of tax returns for individuals and companies
  • Supervising and reviewing work of more junior staff
  • Internal and external audit visits

As a key member of the team, the successful candidate will work closely with the partners and managers and will have the opportunity to shape their own role as the firm continues to grow.

Salary dependent upon experience, qualifications and whether study support is provided. Additional benefits include a car allowance and simplyhealth scheme.
