Clark Wood, specialists in Accountancy Practice recruitment, are partnering with a leading firm of chartered accountants in Hull who are seeking an experienced Audit & Accounts Senior to join their team.

The ideal candidate will be ACA or ACCA Qualified or at the final stages of their studies, with experience in leading external audit assignments. Strong client-facing skills and experience supervising junior staff are essential.

As an Audit & Accounts Senior, you will undertake a diverse role, working with a wide range of clients across various business sectors. You will lead audit assignments from planning to completion and prepare and review complex year-end accounts for large limited companies, group entities, and non-profit organizations. The audit work will constitute about 60-70% of your workload.

Responsibilities:

Prepare and execute audit plans to meet audit objectives.
Engage in audit planning and fraud discussions to identify risks and strategies.
Oversee all aspects of audit fieldwork and completion.
Ensure audit work is completed to meet objectives.
Supervise and develop junior staff members.
Prepare accounts for limited companies, group entities, and complex sole traders & partnerships.
Prepare corporation tax returns.
Supervise junior audit team members.

Skills:

ACA / ACCA Qualified or Part Qualified
Experience of leading audit assignments
Experience of supervising less senior team members
