Job summary

Campbell Grove Talent Ltd. is recruiting an Audit & Accounts Senior in Leeds city centre. The role offers variety across SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private clients, with opportunities to broaden advisory work.

You'll lead audits, prepare statutory accounts and tax computations, and develop client relationships within a supportive team. Progression opportunities are highlighted in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Two years' UK practice experience.
• ACCA/ACCA qualification or working towards it.
• AAT-qualified candidates will also be considered.
• Proficient with accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.

Responsibilities

• Lead statutory audits from planning through to completion.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102.
• Work on group accounts and consolidations.
• Prepare corporation tax computations.
• Review work and support junior team members.
• Build relationships with clients and be a trusted contact.
• Provide cloud accounting support across platforms including Xero and QuickBooks.
• Get involved in ad hoc advisory and corporate finance projects.
• Keep up to date with relevant accounting and auditing standards.

The role would suit someone who enjoys variety, wants to build strong client relationships and is keen to get exposure to more advisory work as they progress.

What you'll be doing:

You'll work across a varied portfolio of SMEs, owner-managed businesses and private clients, with plenty of opportunity to take ownership of your work.

Your role will include:

• Leading statutory audits from planning through to completion
• Preparing year-end statutory accounts under FRS 102
• Working on group accounts and consolidations
• Preparing corporation tax computations
• Reviewing work and supporting more junior members of the team
• Building relationships with clients and becoming a trusted point of contact
• Providing cloud accounting support across platforms including Xero and QuickBooks
• Getting involved in ad hoc advisory and corporate finance projects, including due diligence, valuations and tax planning
• Keeping up to date with relevant accounting and auditing standards

What we're looking for:

You'll ideally have at least two years' UK practice experience and be ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or actively working towards your qualification.

AAT-qualified candidates with the right experience will also be considered.

You'll be confident with accounts preparation and audit and comfortable using accounting packages such as Xero, QuickBooks and Sage.
