The role we are recruiting for will be a senior client facing position working on a range of audit and non-audit clients. Responsibilities include planning, supervising, leading on jobs, and reporting directly to the lead Partner.

Specific experience
- Experience in planning and supervising a range of audit and non-audit assignments.
- Ability to review files and report directly to the lead partner.
- Assist in developing junior staff within the team, supporting their learning and progression.
- Demonstrate the ability to add value to client assignments by offering advice that supports client business development.
- Ability to work at times with minimal supervision.

The role includes:
- Planning and executing audit fieldwork, statutory reporting, and compliance work.
- Leading smaller/medium audit engagements, including planning, executing, directing, and completing audits within deadlines.
- Developing audit programs and testing procedures aligned with risk and test objectives.
- Regular travel to client premises; access to a car is essential.
- Managing multiple tasks within set deadlines.
- Engaging with clients at various levels.
- Preparing accounts from incomplete records.
Person Specification:
The prospective candidate will:
- Hold or be working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACA/ACCA).
- Have proven experience in an Audit & Accounts team within a practice environment.
- Be motivated and able to work independently or as part of a team.
The successful candidate should demonstrate:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with both financial and non-finance stakeholders.
- Excellent organizational, planning, and attention to detail.

- Proficiency with automated accounting & audit software (e.g., Sage, Xero, CCH).

- A full & clean driving license and daily access to a car.
