Numero Recruitment is currently working with a rapidly growing firm of accountants in Brighton that is keen to strengthen their team by recruiting an Audit & Accounts Senior. The firm has grown significantly over the past 12 months, providing opportunities to promote staff into more senior roles and to recruit excellent professional accountants externally.

The role will be split 50/50 between Audit & Accounts Preparation, offering the chance to work across various industry sectors and client sizes.

The Role:

  1. Lead audits from the planning stage through to completion.
  2. Prepare accounts to finalisation from incomplete records for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
  3. Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
  4. Produce VAT returns for clients.
  5. Prepare statutory year-end and half-yearly accounts.
  6. Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements.
  7. Report KPIs and variances for clients and provide relevant advisory services.
  8. Assist the Partner with their clients.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified by experience, Part Qualified ACA or ACCA.
  2. Previous experience in a similar role within a public practice firm of accountants.
  3. Experience using Excel, Word, and Sage.
  4. Effective communication skills with clients and the ability to become an extension of their team.
