Job summary

Butler Rose Public Practice is recruiting an Audit & Accounts Manager/Assistant Manager to join an established six-partner firm in Barnet. The role focuses on leading audits from planning through to completion and helping develop the wider team while delivering high-quality client service.

Requirements include ACA/ACCA, at least 2 years in a senior UK practice role, and experience using Iris for accounts and tax returns.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA Qualified is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years in a Senior level role at a UK accounting practice.
• Experience managing audits from planning through to completion.
• Strong accounts and audit file review experience.
• Ability to manage, support and develop junior staff.
• Experience using Iris software for accounts and tax return preparation.

Butler Rose Public Practice is delighted to be supporting an established six-partner accountancy firm with the recruitment of an Audit & Accounts Manager/Assistant Manager to join their team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to take responsibility for managing audits from planning through to completion, while also supporting the development of the wider team. The firm has a strong history of developing talent, with all six current partners either having trained within the practice or joined at Senior level.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage audits from planning through to completion.
• Manage, support and develop staff.
• Review accounts and audit files on behalf of the partners.
• Prepare accounts and tax returns using Iris software.
• Work closely with the partners to deliver a high-quality service to clients.

Key Requirements

• ACA or ACCA Qualified (Essential)
• Minimum of 2 years in a Senior level role at a UK accounting practice
• Previous experience managing audits from planning through to completion.
• Strong accounts and audit file review experience.
• The ability to manage, support and develop junior staff.
• Experience using Iris software for accounts and tax return preparation.
• A proactive, ambitious approach and an interest in progressing within practice.
