Audit & Accounts Manager

REED PRACTICE are currently supporting an Accountancy Practice that is progressive, proactive, friendly, and based in Derby, who are recruiting for an Audit & Accounts Manager on a permanent basis. This firm has been established for over 30 years and has grown incredibly over the years, attracting talented experts providing a broad range of support and advice to businesses and individuals, locally, nationally, and overseas. Main Duties and Responsibilities for this role:

• Planning and delivery of audit/accounts assignments in conjunction with the client partner
• Lead some large and complex assignments
• Supervise junior staff during the audit and review their work
• Deliver the audit file to the partner in a timely manner
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and potential management letter points
• Manage client communication in an effective manner
• Monitor your chargeability and your assignment budgets proactively
• Coach other staff for improved performance and technical development
• Develop specialist sector knowledge and keep abreast of industry developments
• Mentor audit & accounts trainees and contribute to the training and development programme

Minimum Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to be ACA or ACCA qualified and have previous experience working in external audit or as an Accounts Manager for an accountancy practice.
