Job summary

Heybridge Associates on behalf of our client, a well-established accountancy practice in Keighley, is seeking an Audit & Accounts Junior to join their friendly team. The role combines audit and accounts work, with exposure to a varied portfolio and a clear development path.

The successful candidate will have 2+ years' audit experience, be comfortable liaising with clients, and be studying toward ACA or ACCA. The firm fully funds professional study and provides study leave.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of audit experience in an accountancy practice.
• Solid understanding of audit and accounting principles.
• Accounts preparation experience desirable, including limited companies.
• Studying toward ACA or ACCA; commitment to professional development.
• Organised, accurate and able to meet deadlines.
• Confident communicating with clients and colleagues.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Carrying out audit fieldwork as part of a team and independently.
• Working with Audit Seniors and other team members.
• Identifying risks and control weaknesses and contributing to recommendations.
• Preparing statutory accounts alongside audit assignments.
• Preparing accounts for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Preparing corporation tax returns for senior review.
• Ensuring work is completed accurately within timescales and standards.
