Main duties of the job

In this role, you will act as an autonomous practitioner, delivering specialised audiology assessments and treatments while managing your own patient caseload.

You will be planning and prioritising your workload while delegating tasks within a multi-disciplinary team. This includes:

- Supervision, training and up-skilling of staff including: Associate and Assistant Practitioners, and students

- Providing expert audiology assessments and treatments

- Managing and prioritising your own patient caseload

- Collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care

- Working across Bristol & Weston hospitals, primarily at St Michael's and Southmead Hospitals, but also at outreach sites

Person Specification
Qualifications and Training
  • Audiology Degree or BAAT/ BTEC Parts 1 and 2
  • HCPC/RCCP Registered as appropriate
  • Evidence of relevant knowledge and skills developments in all areas of the advertised role including attendance at relevant M level modules in Tinnitus, Hyperacusis and Rehabilitation
  • Evidence of continuing Professional Development
  • Involvement in Relevant Special Clinical Interest Groups

  • Experience or knowledge of working in a community setting
