Job description

Title: Maternity leave cover – Paediatric Audiologist (12 month contract)

Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated audiologist to complement our friendly, hardworking team in central Manchester and across the city. The role involves working with children of all ages from 6 months to 25 years to deliver reliable, high quality hearing assessment and hearing‑aid fitting service, including children with complex needs.

Key responsibilities
  • Carry out diagnostic hearing assessments, including visual reinforcement audiometry, pure‑tone audiometry, otoscopy and tympanometry on children and young people from 6 months to 25 years (SEN)
  • Programme and fit hearing aids, including ear mould impressions
  • Undertake clinics in a variety of settings, maintain stock levels, and support the community paediatric audiology service across Manchester sites (Longsight, Brownley Green, Withington Community Hospital, Burnage, Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital)
  • Travel to different clinics; possess a valid driver’s licence and car ownership is essential
Requirements & qualifications
  • Registered with the RCCP/HCPC
  • Degree (BSc) in Audiology or equivalent
  • Experience of paediatric audiological testing
