Job description

Job Title: Audio-Visual Technician - Live Events

Location: Edinburgh

Salary: From £29,000 per annum (doe) plus pension and benefits

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Vision Events (UK) Ltd are looking for an experienced Audio-Visual Technician to join our dynamic Team in Edinburgh.

With over 40 years of excellence in producing live and virtual events, we have evolved into one of the UK's leading event production agencies. You will join a diverse Team with a creative and innovative approach to projects, delivering high quality events and meetings to venues throughout Edinburgh and the UK.

We are keen to hear from candidates with working experience of rigging/derigging and operating audio, video and lighting systems for live events.

Main day to day duties will include:
  1. Prepping, scanning, testing and loading equipment into vehicles
  2. Transporting, rigging/de-rigging and operating audio-visual equipment
  3. Giving technical advice and support to colleagues and clients
  4. Assisting with inspecting and cleaning stock
  5. Assisting with warehouse duties
The ideal candidate will:
  1. Have a full UK driving licence (essential)
  2. Good working knowledge of audio, video and lighting systems
  3. Be able to demonstrate a confident and professional client facing approach
  4. Work well as part of a team with a can-do attitude
  5. Have a flexible and adaptable approach to working hours
  6. Be able to work in a relatively physically demanding role, with daily handling of heavy flight cases and equipment
  7. Be able to carry out basic equipment maintenance
  8. Live within a reasonable commuting distance to Loanhead

Hours will be based on a 45-hour week. Due to the nature of our business and according to the workload, additional working hours may be necessary. Working hours will be varied and will include unsocial hours and weekends.
