Job description

Overview

Harrods is seeking a skilled and service-driven Audio Visual Engineer to support the delivery and maintenance of AV systems across our Knightsbridge and Hammersmith sites. Working within the Information Technology team, you'll ensure the smooth operation of digital signage, meeting room technologies, and background music systems, while providing high-level support for events and day-to-day AV needs. This role is shift based, 5 days a week in Knightsbridge with on call over the weekend done on a rota basis.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership and responsibility for the management and tracking of critical spares onsite.
• Proactively troubleshoot and remediate AV faults using established diagnostic techniques, repair or replace items as required.
• Communicate and coordinate on-site with clients, facility owners, general contractors, and associated trades as required to complete AV fixes and provide regular updates on tickets and reports.
• Operate day-to-day AV systems on-site, attend to service tickets, and assist with setting up and running meetings and events.
• Out of hours work will be required on a shift basis with possibilities for monitoring from home.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AV experience (digital signage screens, audio processing, signage CMS).
• Experience with Dante networks and designing audio systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for interactions with internal stakeholders and senior staff.
• Basic Microsoft skills (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Ability to work under pressure and strong time management.
• Passion for technology and the ability to articulate concepts clearly.
