Audio Visual Installation Engineer

Location: Berkshire & Surrounding Areas

About the Role

The client are specialists in delivering high‑quality audio visual, video conferencing, and integrated control systems for corporate and residential clients. We are seeking an experienced Audio‑Visual Installation Engineer to join our dynamic and growing team, supporting a wide range of exciting projects across Berkshire and the surrounding regions.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a passion for AV technology, system integration, and project delivery to play a key role in designing, installing, and commissioning premium audio‑visual solutions.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission high‑end AV systems including projectors, displays, microphones, video conferencing, and control systems.
• Work across the full project lifecycle – from design and planning through to final installation and client handover.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, wiring schematics, and system designs.
• Lead on‑site installation work, ensuring high standards of workmanship and compliance with health and safety procedures.
• Manage site activities, supervise contractors, and coordinate with project managers and clients to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Integrate systems including Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, and Lutron.
• Carry out fault‑finding, testing, and maintenance of AV systems.
• Maintain positive communication with clients, providing technical guidance and professional support throughout each project.

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience installing and commissioning commercial or residential AV systems.
• Strong understanding of AV, lighting, and control system design and integration.
• Hands‑on experience with Crestron, AMX, Extron, Kramer, Dyna Lite, and Lutron systems.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, control budgets, and deliver to deadlines.
• Experience working with Cat5/Cat6, coaxial, control, and cabling.
• Excellent communication and client‑facing skills.
• A proactive approach with the ability to lead site teams and ensure quality delivery.
• Full UK driving licence required.
