Job summary

Alecto Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Audio-Visual Installation Engineer in Leatherhead. The role focuses on installing professional AV systems across client sites, requiring hands-on AV installation experience and the ability to work independently or with subcontractors to deliver high-quality solutions.

You will install projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, and AV control systems, ensuring compliance with specifications and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in AV installation.
• Able to read elevation drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
• Full UK driving licence; willingness to travel to customer sites.
• Experience with large-scale AV and integrated systems installations.
• Basic networking knowledge; basic commissioning skills (AV & VC).
• ECS certification; PASMA/IPAF qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install a wide range of AV equipment across client sites (projectors, displays, speakers, microphones, control systems).
• Ensure installations meet manufacturer specifications and client quality standards.
• Follow health and safety procedures during installations.
• Maintain vehicle checks and servicing schedules.
• Participate in training and professional development initiatives.

Role Purpose

As an Audio-Visual Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation of professional AV systems across client sites. This role suits someone with hands‑on AV installation experience, strong problem‑solving ability, and the confidence to work independently or alongside team members and subcontractors to deliver high‑quality solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Installation of a wide range of AV equipment, including:
• Projectors and displays
• Speakers and microphones
• AV control systems
• Ensure all installations meet manufacturer specifications and the client’s quality standards
• Follow all health & safety procedures during installations
• Comply with company policies and procedures at all times
