Job Title: Audio-Visual Commissioning Engineer - Higher Education - AVIXA CTS qualification

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Audio-Visual Commissioning Engineer with a strong AV background and AVIXA CTS qualifications. The successful candidate will work with our Higher Education client to perform on-site commissioning and configuration programming of AV systems.

Essential Experience

• Experience using Audio Visual Remote Management tools such as Crestron Fusion, Utelogy, or similar.
• Excellent AV skills, including configuring AV systems.
• Practical experience administering Crestron-based control systems in a service environment.
• Hands-on commissioning of systems, including IP setup, device configuration, and sign-off.
• AVIXA CTS qualification.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP networking principles and familiarity with common Internet protocols (HTTP, SMTP, LDAP, SFTP/SSH, etc.).
• Wide-ranging knowledge of professional AV equipment, systems, and technologies.
• Ability to resolve problems with attention to detail, analytical, and logical skills.
• Good communication skills, capable of explaining technical issues to non-specialists, with a strong customer focus.
• Experience working on-site environments, following health and safety procedures.
• Proficiency with common software applications such as email and office software.

Desirable Experience

• Experience working in a Higher Education environment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD for wiring schematics and M&E drawings.
• Knowledge of lecture capture solutions like Panopto.
• Experience using fault logging systems.
• Experience with Digital Signage technologies.
• Crestron system experience.

Additional Details

Location: On-site in central London

Pay Rate: £350-£400 per day, inside IR35, depending on experience.
