Job description

The Opportunity

As Business Development Manager in the North & Midlands, you will be responsible for driving sales and revenue growth for this established Audio Visual Integrator.

Your day-to-day tasks include:

  1. Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities,
  2. Cultivating and maintaining client relationships,
  3. Conducting market research,
  4. Preparing proposals and presentations,
  5. Collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions.

The company offers a full range of complete AV solutions, selling to three main verticals: corporate, education, and public sector. Solutions include:

  • Integrated Boardroom Systems
  • Breakout Area TV/SAT Distribution
  • Training Centres
  • Auditorium Conference Rooms
  • Video Conference
  • Reception Digital Signage
  • Meeting Room Display Audio
  • Lighting Environmental Controls
  • Room Booking and Management System

This is a Hybrid role covering the Midlands and North (ideal location M62 corridor), with a salary circa £40k basic plus uncapped commission and benefits.

Your skills and experience

The successful candidate will have:

  • Proven experience in business development and sales
  • Proven experience in the Audio-Visual industry
  • Understanding of all aspects of AV including but not limited to:
    • Digital signage
    • Control systems such as AMX/Crestron/QSC (Knowledge/understanding of, not necessarily certified and able to programme)
    • LED wall solutions
    • Video systems for Teams/Zoom etc
    • Corporate/commercial AV sales
    • Understanding of microphone solutions
  • Strong negotiation and persuasion skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build and maintain client relationships
  • Knowledge of audio-visual technologies and solutions
  • Understanding of the corporate, education, and public sector markets
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
