A local healthcare provider is looking for an Audio Typist to join their team in York. The role involves typing letters and documents, assisting medical secretaries, and managing administrative tasks in the Head & Neck department. Candidates should have strong audio typing skills and relevant qualifications. This position offers career progression and flexible working arrangements.

We are recruiting for an Audio Typist to join the Secretarial/Typist Team for 37.5 hours per week within the Head & Neck department, based at York Teaching Hospital.
This post holder will be an audio typist for predominantly ENT and will assist with the typing and letters for other specialties within the Head and Neck directorate if required. The post holder will be responsible for typing letters for our clinical staff, all medical secretary printing and delivering patient results letters to the post room. The role will include typing for primarily junior doctors and assisting Medical Secretaries with the wider clinical team.

You will be required to have good organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise the demands of a busy office and manage their time and workload effectively.
You will also be required to work unsupervised and communicate with the medical secretary team on a regular basis.
Excellent administration and audio-typing experience/qualifications are required, as well as a good understanding of general office duties. The role offers career progression and development, the opportunity for flexible working, and the support of a friendly and motivated team.
