As an Audio Programmer at Lighthouse Games, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of audio systems. You will work closely with designers and programmers to ensure that our game audio meets the highest quality standards while being optimised.

Key Duties Include

• Design, implement, and maintain audio systems and tools for games
• Collaborate with sound designers and music composers to integrate sound, music, and dialogue into the game
• Ensure all audio assets are delivered on time and meet quality expectations
• Conduct thorough testing and debugging of audio features
• Optimize and profile audio performance across different platforms
• Stay updated with industry trends and suggest improvements to audio processes
• Contribute to a collaborative and creative environment by sharing knowledge and skills within the team

Requirements

• Experience as an audio engineer in video games or related industries
• Strong proficiency in C++ s used in audio integration
• Proficient with audio middleware (Wwise, FMOD) and digital audio workstations (Pro Tools, Logic Pro)
• Solid understanding of sound design principles and audio post-production
• Experience with game engines, particularly Unreal Engine 4 or 5
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• A passion for video games and creating compelling audio experiences
• Experience working on AAA titles
• Knowledge of current generation console development
