Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing team at Horsham, in the heart of West Sussex.

You will be working as part of the Total War Audio Programming team, which provides support across all our franchise projects. You will collaborate with our dedicated sound designers and dialogue engineers. Supporting various games, tools, and technologies, you will be an integral part of delivering the immersive audio experience our fans expect from our games.

This role is hybrid, with a minimum expectation of 2 days per week in our Horsham studio.

Key Responsibilities

As an Audio Programmer, you will work with the Total War team, using your coding expertise to improve existing audio gameplay and develop new features for future Total War titles.

Daily tasks include implementing new audio features using Audiokinetic Wwise, extending our in-house tools, troubleshooting issues, creating and maintaining tools for the sound team, and supporting the audio QA process.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential

  • Excellent C++ skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • Ability to meet deadlines in a development environment
  • Passion for making games
  • Professional experience with Audiokinetic Wwise

Desirable

  • Experience developing audio systems in games or research
  • Familiarity with Total War games is a plus
