Overview

Prospectus is excited to be working with an award-winning independent theatre to appoint a new Audiences and Commercial Director. The theatre is a regional powerhouse in the world of theatre, creating new work from their historic mill building in Berkshire. A leader in artist development, the theatre has nurtured strong relationships with significant local philanthropic partners and has a large and engaged audience of supporters.

This is a permanent, full time post based predominantly from the theatre in Newbury, with some remote working.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all communications to ensure an excellent experience for everyone engaging with the theatre.
• Oversee the development of commercial opportunities and partnerships.
• Work closely with the executive and strategic team to ensure communications, customer experience and commercial opportunities sit at the heart of decision-making.

Qualifications and attributes

• Strong background in marketing and communications.
• Passion for audiences with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to develop and grow commercial activities and income.
• Energy and leadership to help shape the theatre's future, including involvement in capital development plans.
