Job Title: Audience Science Manager

Audience Science:

At the heart of Audience Science is the global mission to promote best practices for understanding people through digital signals.

We believe that with increasing digitization of media, it's imperative that our clients leverage technology, content, and behavioral data. Our global team works to maximize insights from data, enabling more personalized and effective marketing campaigns. Focus areas include:

  • Audience strategy, planning, and development for automated media investment deployment.
  • Creating audience insights using 1st, 2nd, and 3rd party data to build customer segmentations and insights.
  • Developing data partnerships and integrations to deliver unique benefits to clients.

Role context:

This role primarily supports advanced custom audience planning, strategy, and production for WM Worldwide's Audience Science Team, working with an industry-leading CPG client. The person will work closely with campaign leads across client brands, developing strategic audiences based on insights from market research, social listening, and data partners to build brand awareness and drive engagement across digital channels.

We seek a highly detailed, outcome-oriented individual to lead insights and hypotheses creation for new audience segments. Daily tasks include working with campaign teams to understand consumer behavior, uncover niche interests and motivations, and translate growth opportunities into digital signals for activation by the central team.

The Audience Science Manager will:

  • Create and own WM Worldwide’s approach to advanced audience planning and creation.
  • Develop hypotheses using multiple data sources, historical performance, and purchase history.
  • Translate hypotheses into insights about passion points, interests, and online behaviors for segmentation.
  • Validate and enrich behavioral data to form high-affinity audience clusters, feeding insights into creative teams.
  • Build or push custom audiences into paid media platforms (e.g., DV360, TTD, Amazon DSP, Meta, Google Ads) and collaborate with activation partners on targeting tactics.
  • Ensure audience performance is measured against KPIs during and after campaigns.

Required skills and experience:

The ideal candidate is ambitious, creative, and a strong storyteller. Organizational skills are essential to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. A highly analytical approach to developing audience segments and forecasting outcomes is required.

You should have a solid marketing understanding and experience translating data-driven insights into addressable segments.

  • Experience managing demand generation campaigns from start to finish.
  • Strong consumer understanding skills.
  • Expertise in audience creation using behavioral and contextual data.
  • Experience with marketing platforms (e.g., Google DV360, TTD, Amazon DSP).
  • Knowledge of Google marketing platforms and Analytics is preferred.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with marketing, tech, or product teams.
  • Relevant industry experience, especially in similar companies, is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently to deadlines and KPIs.
