Seaview Primary School is seeking a committed Attendance Support Worker to improve pupil attendance and support families in overcoming barriers to education. The role involves daily attendance monitoring, welfare support, and longer‑term casework in collaboration with school staff and external agencies.
You will build positive relationships with families, identify concerns early, and implement effective interventions.
Permanent Contract - Part Time - 20 hours per week 08:00 – 12:00 Mon-Fri. Term Time Only. Required to start: 1 September 2026. Enhanced DBS Required.

The Attendance Support Worker plays a pivotal role in improving pupil attendance and supporting children and families to overcome barriers to education. Working closely with school staff, pupils, parents/carers, and external agencies, you will help ensure that every child has the best possible opportunity to succeed through regular school attendance.
This is a rewarding role that combines daily attendance monitoring and welfare support with longer-term casework, family engagement, and multi‑agency collaboration. You will build positive relationships with families, identify concerns early, and implement effective interventions to improve attendance outcomes for our pupils.

Standard term time only pay is calculated on the basis of the following:
Individual leave entitlement is calculated on the length of continuous service. Employees with less than 5 years’ service will receive 27 days annual leave. Employees with more than 5 years’ service will receive 32 days annual leave. For example:
Calculation for employees with less than 5 years’ service: 38 weeks (term time) + 27 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 45 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
Calculation for employees with more than 5 years’ service: 38 weeks (term time) + 32 days (annual leave) + 8 days (public holidays) = 46 weeks’ pay, to be paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
