Job summary

The Crossley Heath School in Halifax is seeking an Attendance and Safeguarding Officer to promote attendance and punctuality and support student welfare. The post holder will act as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead, working with sixth form staff, students and families.

You should have experience with young people, be an effective administrator and strong communicator. The role is 37 hours per week, term-time only plus 10 days, with DBS checks and pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people, ideally in a school, pastoral, or administrative environment.
• Accurate administrative and data inputting skills are essential.
• Ability to monitor attendance and track patterns of absence.
• Strong communication with students, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

• Promote excellent attendance and punctuality for sixth form students.
• Support welfare and safeguarding of all students as Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead.
• Maintain accurate attendance records and monitor daily attendance patterns.
