Job summary

Outwood Academy Adwick in Doncaster is seeking an Attendance Manager to lead the attendance team for one year, setting and running the academy's attendance and punctuality policy, including managing the attendance MIS and family contact systems.

The role involves home visits, multi-agency safeguarding work, and coordinating with agencies, plus preparing legal evidence for court, Penalty Notices, and witness statements; enhanced DBS and UK work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or equivalent related professional qualification.
• Experience using an education welfare, social work or counselling approach to work with parents and children.

Responsibilities

• Lead the attendance team, combining strategic oversight with operational leadership.
• Lead attendance policy and whole-school strategies to improve attendance and reduce persistent absence.
• Manage the attendance MIS and operate automated parent contact systems.
• Conduct daily 'Late Gate' patrols.
• Coordinate with multi-agency safeguarding partners and manage statutory enforcement, including Penalty Notices and court evidence.
• Analyze attendance data for senior leadership and lead attendance panels.
