Job summary

Greenshaw High School in Sutton, South West London, is seeking an Attendance Officer to manage daily attendance records, monitor registers and support safeguarding through early intervention.

Working in the Attendance Team, you will collaborate with the Attendance Lead and Attendance Support Worker to deliver a graduated response, identify patterns of concern and engage families to secure sustained improvements, with a maternity cover until July 2027.

Qualifications

• Experience in a similar attendance role with a proven track record.
• Experience with school attendance systems, preferably Bromcom.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing and maintaining accurate attendance records using Bromcom, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and school policies.
• Monitor daily attendance registers and promptly follow up on any unexplained absences.
• Prepare, analyse and present attendance data, identifying trends and patterns across individuals, year groups and key demographics.
• Identify patterns of concern and support safeguarding processes through accurate monitoring.
