Overview

Tividale Community Primary offers a stimulating, caring and safe environment in which our pupils desire to learn. We work in partnership with parents, families and the wider community where all are treated with respect and feel valued and secure.

We are looking for an experienced Attendance Officer to work 3 days per week to promote excellent attendance and punctuality. In this key role, you will monitor daily attendance, follow up on absences, and work closely with pupils, families, staff and other agencies. 21 hours per week – Wednesday to Friday 8.30am to 4pm with 30 minutes lunch break.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor daily attendance and follow up on absences, working closely with pupils, families, staff and external agencies as required.
  • Promote and improve attendance and punctuality across the school.
  • Maintain accurate records and process referrals in relation to attendance and safeguarding as needed, ensuring compliance with relevant legal actions.
  • Support data analysis, produce statistical reports and identify attendance trends.
  • Communicate with empathy and professionalism with the whole school community and external agencies.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Proven track record in a welfare role with experience in attendance management or related safeguarding work.
  • Experience of data analysis, producing statistics, and reporting attendance trends.
  • Proven experience of processing referrals and maintaining accurate records to ensure compliance with any required legal actions.
  • Working knowledge of local and national guidance and procedures relating to attendance and safeguarding.
