Job summary

Reeson Education is supporting a specialist PRU in West Drayton in recruiting a dedicated Pastoral Attendance Officer. You will monitor attendance, identify patterns of absence, and work with parents, carers and external agencies to remove barriers to learning.

The ideal candidate will have prior attendance experience, strong safeguarding knowledge, and excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.

A specialist PRU school in West Drayton is seeking a dedicated and proactive Pastoral Attendance Officer to join their pastoral team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Pastoral Attendance Officer who is passionate about improving attendance, supporting vulnerable young people, and helping students overcome barriers to education.

The Role

• Monitor and track student attendance across the school.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous experience as a Pastoral Attendance Officer, Attendance Officer, Family Liaison Officer, Welfare Officer, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of attendance procedures and safeguarding practices.
• Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills.
• Experience working with vulnerable young people.
• The ability to manage challenging situations professionally and calmly.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills.

Experience within a PRU, Alternative Provision, SEMH school, or SEN setting would be highly beneficial.
