Contract/Hours: 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am to 4pm, term time only + 1 week (39wks), permanent Required for: ASAP

Do you love working with children and have an interest in ensuring their wellbeing and learning?

If yes, then Horsenden Primary School may be just the place for you. The Headteacher and governors are looking for a passionate and inspired Attendance and Medical Officer to join the pastoral support team and work closely with the admin team. This role is ideal for a registered nurse wanting to work with children, a teaching assistant who has a particular interest in supporting the welfare and attendance of young children or an administrator who is looking to take the next step in their career.

The successful candidate will be someone who:

*is compassionate and has a genuine interest in developing strong relationships with adults and children

*is aware of children’s health issues and has an interest in supporting all children to attend school regularly

*holds a paediatric first aid certificate or is willing to obtain one

*has a clear commitment to improvement and has excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills to engage the wider community of the school.

The role:

*To assist the PA/Office Manager and Attendance Senior Lead in all day to day matters relating to children’s attendance and punctuality

*To provide day to day medical care to the children of Horsenden and to take a lead role in the implementation of the Supporting Pupils with Medical Conditions policy

*To be responsible for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people within the school

*To work constructively as a member of the team to promote the wellbeing and attendance of all pupils.
