£29,572.00 - £30,559.00 (FTE, salary to be pro-rata)

Role Overview:

Unique School Solutions is recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in Barnsley to appoint an Attendance and Cover Manager on a permanent contract, starting as soon as possible.

Essential Skills:
  1. Strong administration and organisational skills
  2. Ability to work under pressure and develop arrangements for staff absence cover efficiently and cost-effectively
  3. Computer literacy
  4. Knowledge of relevant computer systems, including SIMS
Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate the smooth operation of cover supervision to meet the school's needs regarding staff absence
  2. Liaise with teachers about cover work requirements under the guidance of SLT and/or teachers
  3. Maintain accurate records of staff absence and provide daily reports to SLT
  4. Provide reports on long-term cover to SLT
  5. Coordinate the work of cover supervisors and build relationships with supply agencies
