A forward-thinking and fast-growing accountancy firm in Oxfordshire is looking for a bright and motivated Trainee Tax Assistant to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone starting their career in tax, offering full support towards the ATT qualification.
You’ll join a supportive team where professional development, transparency and a genuine passion for what they do are at the heart of the business.
The role includes:
Assisting with personal, partnership and corporate tax return preparation
Supporting the production of sole trader and partnership accounts
Managing tax filing deadlines to ensure timely submissions to HMRC
Liaising with HMRC on behalf of clients
Maintaining and updating client records
Supporting other areas of the business during quieter periods
What they’re looking for:
Minimum grade 4 or above in GCSE Maths and English
At least 96 UCAS points (or equivalent qualifications)
Strong IT skills, especially Excel
Great attention to detail
Excellent written and verbal communication
A proactive attitude and ability to work both independently and in a team
A full UK driving licence is desirable but not essential
Previous relevant experience is a bonus but not required
