Job Description

Leading UK ATM Operator requires an ATM Field Service Engineer in Newcastle, Durham, Teeside, Darlington, Sunderland. This is a permanent, full-time position working a 4 days on, 4 days off shift pattern (11-hour shifts starting from home at 0900hrs and ending around 2000hrs). The salary is £35,500 plus vehicle and other benefits.

Reporting to the Regional Engineering Manager, the engineer will support an ATM estate by proactively fault-finding and repairing a range of ATM issues to ensure maximum uptime and transactional capability.

Key Tasks
  1. Fault find and repair ATM issues using a range of skill sets.
  2. Attend customer sites with a positive attitude.
  3. Perform reactive and preventative maintenance on various ATM makes and models including NCR, Wincor, and Triton.
  4. Remove and replace key ATM modules such as card readers, EPPs, presenters, screens, PC cores, and other electro-mechanical parts.
  5. Install and repair security and safety devices in response to threats and company priorities.
  6. Ensure ATMs are clean and presentable, representing the brand effectively.
  7. Manage vehicle stock to ensure availability of parts for first-time fixes.
  8. Complete repairs within SLA and KPI targets, including first-time fix, time on site, and parts orders/returns.
  9. Return faulty parts to workshops or dispose of them following company procedures.
  10. Follow safety and security procedures during transit and at machines.
  11. Maintain accurate job notes for accountability and audit purposes.
  12. Maintain a good driving record and use the vehicle responsibly and safely within the region.
Required Skills
  • Good knowledge of various ATM types, technical specifications, and configurations.
  • Electro-mechanical repair experience, preferably with ATMs, or with large cash-carrying transactional/dispensing objects.
  • Attention to detail and presentability in work.

Essential: UK Driving License and UK Passport.
