Piramal Pharma Limited is seeking a Packaging Operator for a 12-month fixed-term contract in the UK. The role covers full responsibility for packaging operations, including line set-up, changeovers, and in-process QC activities in a GMP environment.

You will work under supervision to operate and adjust packaging lines, ensuring accurate material handling, documentation, and compliance with SOPs and safety guidelines. Prior GMP packaging experience is preferred.

Formación

• Primary/secondary/tertiary packaging experience in GMP preferred.
• Technical packaging experience in FMCG or GMP environment would be beneficial.
• Basic literacy and mathematics skills required.

Responsabilidades

• Work under some direct supervision.
• Package a wide variety of products on a range of packaging operations according to SOPs.
• Select and dispense required material, load equipment, and adjust lines as needed.
• Carry out full line changeovers and setup per SOPs and training aids.
• Troubleshoot minor issues to minimise downtime and maintain paperwork and data entry in SAP/MRP.
• Perform full clean down of the packaging line following procedures.
• Support continuous improvement activities and new product introductions within the department.
• Investigate problems and coordinate with maintenance to minimise downtime.
• Ensure work quality complies with GMP requirements and document actions accordingly.

JOB OVERVIEW:

Fully competent on all relevant operations including intermediate level changeover / set up of primary, secondary and tertiary packaging equipment. This includes packaging lines and downstream processes (thermo former, cartonner, check weigh and over wrapper, labellers), documentation completion and relevant MRP / SAP transactions, cleaning procedures and in-process QC activities associated with packaging operations. Maintaining high quality standards, in accordance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements within GMP and Safety guidelines.

RELEVANT EXPERIENCE:

• Primary secondary and tertiary packaging experience with a GMP environment is preferred
• Technical packaging experience in an FMCG or GMP operating environment would be beneficial
• Basic literacy and mathematics skills required

KEY ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works under some direct supervision
• Will package a wide variety of products on a range of secondary and tertiary packaging operations according to SOP's
• Selects and dispenses required material, loads equipment, making adjustments to line as necessary
• Responsible for full line changeovers and set-up according to detailed standard operating procedures and training aids.
• May carry out trouble shooting root cause analysis and minor maintenance work to minimise down time.
• Has responsibility for production and all associated paperwork and computer data entry.
• Required to carry out full clean down of the packaging line in accordance with established procedures
• To actively take part in continuous improvement/SFT/NPI (Shop Floor Transformation & New Product Introduction) and CANDO activity within the department to support a continuous improvement culture and drive operational performance improvement.
• Investigates and reports problems on equipment and organises maintenance with a primary objective of minimising process downtime.
• Responsible for the quality of work as all work is subject to GMP
• Will monitor and record all actions and document as appropriate within GMP requirements.
