As a Manager within our Technology Risk team, you will help our clients identify and manage their technology risks whilst gaining skills to develop a career in a fast-growing professional services organisation. Working with some of the world's most prestigious Financial Services (FS) organisations, you will be an integral part of our Technology Risk team, part of Assurance Advisory within EY UK.

Our FS UK Technology Risk team comprises over 250 professionals serving some of the largest financial institutions globally.

As a Technology Risk Manager, you will work on a range of IT Assurance projects, including IT External Audit Support, IT Internal Audit, Regulatory Reviews, Cyber assurance, Emerging Technology risk (AI, RPA), and controls related to FS. You will collaborate with Assurance and Consulting colleagues to help clients protect their reputation by mitigating business, financial reporting, and IT risks.

Your key responsibilities

• Serve as a primary contact for clients and the team, engaging in discussions on future trends and growing the EY relationship.
• Coach and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment.
• Uphold high standards of client service, quality, and delivery.
• Manage team and project resources and budgets effectively.

Skills and attributes for success

• Understanding of EY, clients, and their businesses.
• Knowledge of the IT landscape, including cloud, AI, and RPA, and ability to advise on associated risks.
• Experience managing IT audits, controls, and regulatory reporting (SOC, ISAE, etc.).
• Technical understanding of SOX and IT audit methodologies.
• Strong relationship management skills across FS clients.

To qualify for the role you must have

• Experience managing and delivering complex external IT Audits for FS clients.
• Technical expertise in IT general controls, automated controls, and third-party controls reporting.
• Knowledge of UK and EMEIA FS regulatory environment.

Ideally, you will also have

• Industry certifications such as CISA, CISSP, CISM, etc.
• Experience with assurance over regulatory programs, payments, controls, and emerging technologies.
