Job summary

EisnerAmper in Birmingham is seeking entry-level Assurance professionals for Summer/Fall 2027 to join our growing team. You’ll work on engagements, prepare letters, confirmations, and audits, contributing to the firm’s reputation for client service and integrity.

The role offers hands-on experience in financial statements, compliance testing, and collaboration with seasoned colleagues. A Bachelor’s or Master’s in accounting and 0–2 years experience are preferred; in-office presence is required,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting or equivalent program from an accredited college or university.
• 0–2 years recent public accounting experience.
• This position has in-office requirements.
• Must be able to reliably commute to assigned office location and client sites as required.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Engagement Letters for review.
• Prepare confirmations for review (includes debt, syndicators, etc.).
• Perform compliance testing (HUD, RD, NFP).
• Prepare files for audit (Bring in TBs, GLs, bank statements, other supporting docs).
• Make financial statement changes / prepare drafts and AJEs, RJEs, ATBs / prepare final financials.
• Prepare lockdowns.
• Roll forward audit binders / prep workpapers for interim procedures.
• Update fixed asset software as needed.
• Prepare audits primarily that are "old & cold jobs”.
• Prepare financial statements.
