You will be responsible for

• Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders
• Contributing to setting strategy and long-term direction for the automation engineering team in Tesco UK
• Auditing sites to ensure equipment effectiveness and safety
• Serving as a technical expert, working cross-functionally with engineering and safety teams
• Supporting automation projects during design, commissioning, and operational handover
• Monitoring site performance and liaising with OEM support to address issues
• Using data to guide capital investment and advising on best practices
• Being a Subject Matter Expert on failure principles and troubleshooting
• Maintaining high engineering standards across the estate
• Developing professional skills and those of peers
• Managing vendor relationships, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness
