Job description

Assurance and Commissioning Engineering Manager - Automation

You will be responsible for:

  1. Building effective relationships and communicating clearly with stakeholders.
  2. Contributing to setting strategy and long-term direction within the automation engineering team.
  3. Auditing sites regularly to ensure equipment effectiveness and safety.
  4. Working cross-functionally with engineering and safety teams to drive best-in-class solutions.
  5. Supporting automation projects from design to operational handover.
  6. Monitoring site performance using dashboards and liaising with OEM support to resolve issues.
  7. Guiding long-term capital investment decisions based on data analysis.
  8. Acting as SME on failure principles, tailoring approaches to specific problems.
  9. Maintaining high engineering standards across the estate.
  10. Developing professional skills of yourself and peers.
  11. Managing vendor and contractor relationships to ensure efficiency and reliability, within budget and timescales.

Requirements include experience with large automation projects, technical data analysis, contractor management, and troubleshooting automated equipment.
