Residential Building Surveyor – AssocRICS / MRICS / FRICS – Home working – Hiring in Enfield / NE London / surrounding areas

All areas considered, NE London of high interest in particular, but please still apply regardless of location within London / surrounding areas.

Established in 2015, my client is a well-respected, friendly team of 20 property professionals, committed to delivering quality service to their customers.

Their focus is on quality over quantity, typically carrying out four to five Level 3 Surveys per week, with one day per week in the office or at home reserved for report writing.

Offering:

• Basic salary: £60,000 - £85,000 per annum (agency estimate).
• Pension contributions (government standard).
• 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, increasing to 25 days after 5 years and 26 days after 7 years.
• Workplace pension (standard).
• RICS memberships paid.
• 45p per mile mileage allowance.
• Lucrative bonus scheme: 20% of income above threshold per quarter (threshold varies between £20,000 and £30,000). For example, at a threshold of £25,000 and a quarterly income of £50,000, the bonus would be £5,000 per quarter, totaling approximately £20,000 annually, paid quarterly on top of basic salary.

Additional information:

• Average of five surveys per week, generating more than £200,000 in net fees annually.
• Turnaround times: 2-3 days for Level 2, 4-5 days for Level 3 surveys.
• Technology used includes Go Report for reporting and drones for on-site assistance when required.
• Opportunities for career development into valuation and party wall work, with training and support offered.
• Potential progression to assisting the department Director, with referral work and a bonus scheme.
• Average fees: Level 2 (£750 without valuation, £980 with valuation), Level 3 (£1,425).
• Booking process managed by an in-house administrator and admin team, handling file setup, T&Cs, final reports, follow-ups, and reviews.
• Many surveyors have been with the company for 5 to 15 years.
• The position is home-based, with office attendance expected once a week or fortnight.
• Flexible working arrangements are available, subject to agreement with the line manager and making up time as needed.
