Overview

An award-winning structural consultancy in South West London is seeking a Chartered Senior Structural Engineer to join their team. You will play a key role in project management, working alongside Directors, leading engineering teams, and managing client relationships.

About the Practice

The firm specializes in high-end residential projects, including new builds and refurbishments, often involving bespoke basement and multi-storey schemes. They also undertake commercial projects such as schools, data centres, and public sector schemes, with project values ranging from £150,000 to £10m. The practice is expanding due to increasing workload and also offers temporary works design solutions.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is a Chartered Engineer experienced in diverse building schemes, with strong technical design skills. Experience in residential buildings and temporary works is preferred. You should be capable of leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and possess commercial awareness.

Responsibilities
  1. Design at concept level, including surveys and reports.
  2. Manage project finances, invoicing, and pricing.
  3. Lead projects from inception to completion.
  4. Mentor graduates and lead design teams.
