A leading children's hospital in Westminster is seeking an Associate Vision Science Practitioner to carry out ophthalmic imaging investigations for children. The role includes not only technical responsibilities such as performing imaging and maintaining equipment but also requires effective communication with families in sensitive situations. We are recruiting for an Associate Vision Science Practitioner to join our Ophthalmic Imaging team at GOSH. The post will involve carrying out a range of ophthalmic imaging investigations in children with simple and/or complex medical conditions. This may include basic (unsupervised) or specialist (supervised) investigations, including but not exclusive to OCT (Spectralis, handheld, ultra-wide field), fundus imaging (Optos, handheld), Biometry (IOL Master) and ultrasound. You will be expected to contribute and participate in clinical development, audit and research projects involved in the unit under the direction of the ophthalmic imaging lead. Non-clinical workload will vary but will include equipment maintenance, repair, database management, quality assurance/management and contribution to departmental audit or research projects as directed.
