Associate – Growth Equity Investment Team
Location: London
We are partnering with a leading European growth equity investor to support the hire of an Associate into its London-based investment team. The firm backs visionary founders building disruptive, high-growth businesses across technology, consumer, climate, AI, and infrastructure-adjacent verticals.
This is a rare opportunity to join a globally respected platform at the cutting edge of late-stage venture and growth equity investing. The Associate will be a core part of the deal team from day one, gaining end-to-end exposure across origination, investment execution, and strategic portfolio support.
Key Responsibilities
- Origination & Thesis Building: Drive sectoral deep dives, develop proprietary sourcing strategies, and map founder ecosystems across key verticals (e.g., AI infrastructure, next-gen consumer, climate tech).
- Investment Analysis: Build and own complex financial models; conduct unit economics breakdowns, cohort analysis, TAM sizing, competitor benchmarking, and sensitivity testing for scaling-stage companies.
- Due Diligence Leadership: Coordinate workstreams across commercial, technical, legal, and ESG due diligence; engage directly with advisors, founders, and internal stakeholders.
- Transaction Execution: Support deal structuring, term sheet negotiation, and investment committee preparation; draft high-quality investment memos and board materials.
- Portfolio Involvement: Act as a thought partner to founders and management teams on operational metrics, growth strategy, international expansion, hiring, and follow-on capital planning.
- Internal Strategy: Contribute to evolving firm theses, post-mortem analysis, and refinement of internal investment frameworks.
Candidate Profile
- 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, top-tier strategy consulting, growth/private equity, or founder/operator roles in high-growth technology companies.
- A strong track record of transaction execution or investment analysis, ideally with direct exposure to high-growth tech or disruptive business models.
- Exceptional analytical and financial modelling skills, with comfort navigating ambiguity, rapidly scaling metrics, and non-traditional capital structures.
- High intellectual horsepower, curiosity, and the ability to synthesise complex information into clear, actionable insights.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with founders, internal stakeholders, and external advisors.
- Self-starter mindset - able to take ownership in a lean, entrepreneurial environment and contribute beyond core responsibilities.
- Fluency in English required; additional European languages a plus.
This is an outstanding opportunity to work with one of Europe’s most respected growth platforms, supporting founders building companies of generational impact.
