WB Games is hiring an Associate User Researcher to help support Rocksteady Studios in London. The ideal candidate is passionate about games and science, eager to learn and has experience in conducting research.

Responsibilities

Under the mentorship of the Senior User Researcher, you will work on games for all platforms. You will plan, prepare, and conduct research studies through in-person sessions. Responsibilities include analyzing qualitative and quantitative data, submitting observation notes, writing research reports for various development teams, and providing recommendations based on findings. You will employ methods such as usability studies, playtests, interviews, surveys, and focus groups.

In addition, this role will require you to select and execute appropriate research methodologies and develop associated test plans and surveys. You will also lead the participant recruitment process and coordinate efforts with our Research Ops Manager.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in experimental psychology, game studies, human-computer interaction, anthropology, human factors, or a related field is required.
  • Experience running research sessions, with the ability to speak and moderate groups independently.
  • Knowledge of research design, and qualitative and quantitative methodologies.
  • A genuine enjoyment of games and various genres.
  • Excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with a wide range of software tools (MS Office, Survey software, etc.).
  • Familiarity with game design theory and the video game development process is a plus.
  • Familiarity with data analytics is an advantage.
Hybrid Working - This role is advertised as a Hybrid work model, that combines remote and in-office work, following our current company policy and to be agreed with your Line Manager. Subject to any applicable laws, WBD / your Line Manager reserves the right to change this working agreement where this is essential to business needs and upon reasonable notice to you.
