Job summary

Cross Works in London is seeking an Associate Urban Designer to join a fast-paced design team. The role focuses on leading multiple design projects, mentoring staff, and delivering high-quality urban design outcomes while reporting to the Senior Associate Director.

The ideal candidate has ten years of professional experience in architecture or urban design, exceptional design skills, and strong client management abilities, with travel for key meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Architect or urban designer with at least ten years of professional experience
• Exceptional design skills with experience in large-scale international projects
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities
• Excellent client management and presentation skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Proficiency in Rhino; knowledge of AutoCAD, GIS, SketchUp a plus
• Excellent English language skills

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple design projects concurrently and report to the Senior Associate Director
• Oversee design teams and coordinate with consultants across geographies
• Develop design concepts and present to clients with strong communication
• Support directors with resource planning and potential business development
• Travel nationally and internationally for project meetings and site visits
