Associate Tutor for L4 Academic Skills for Psychology

An excellent opportunity to work as an Associate Tutor supporting the teaching team on the BSc Psychology programme.

Salary range: [to be specified] per hour

Responsibilities:
  • Support teaching to enable students to complete their studies successfully.
  • Undertake related course administrative duties as required.
  • Prepare and run studying skills focused seminars, teach, and mark assessments on the Academic Skills for Psychology first-year, level 4 module.

Most incumbents will be employed as part of their academic development and will undertake this work independently alongside postgraduate studies.

Candidate requirements:
  • A first degree in Psychology or an equivalent relevant qualification.
  • Advanced experience in statistical techniques and report writing suitable for quantitative psychological research.
  • Good working knowledge of SPSS.
  • The ability to work both as part of a team and independently, with the ability to support teaching.
  • A willingness to engage in reflective practice.

This is a fixed-term appointment for 11 weeks, from 9th October 2023 to 1 January 2024, working 3 hours per week on Mondays from 6 pm to 9 pm.
