About the role

We are partnering with a leading multidisciplinary consultancy in London, known for their work in development infrastructure and sustainable transportation solutions. This role offers the chance to work with top developers on innovative schemes.

This position is ideal for an experienced transport planning professional aiming to join at the Associate level. Here's what the role involves:

Responsibilities:

  • Manage client relationships and expand transport planning services.
  • Negotiate fee proposals.
  • Lead and deliver transport planning projects, including site identification, planning applications, and monitoring.
  • Prepare transport statements, assessments, travel plans, and related documents.
  • Provide expert consultancy advice to clients and colleagues.
  • Support senior staff and develop project management skills.
  • Manage project finances.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, and stakeholders.
  • Stay updated on technical, legal, and policy changes.
  • Mentor colleagues within the team.
  • Use judgment and initiative to develop solutions.
  • Ensure quality and technical standards.
  • Add value to projects.

Requirements:

  • Degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience in preparing transport statements and assessments.
  • Proficiency with PICADY, ARCADYS, LINSIG, and understanding their outputs.
  • Knowledge of micro-simulation and strategic models.
  • Understanding of design standards (DMRB, MfS).
  • Experience in developing access, parking, and sustainable transport strategies.
  • Familiarity with S106, S278 agreements, and Traffic Regulation Orders.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for relationship building.
